Comprising over 20 dedicated Real Estate Disputes lawyers across our 13 offices, the team in Birmingham is led by David Marsden and he has a wealth of knowledge in handling complex litigation, much of which is high‑profile; he is also the co‑author of "Enforcement and Debt Recovery: a Guide to the New Law", published by the Law Society and is a part‑time Deputy District Judge.

He specialises in commercial and residential disputes including FTT management orders, property insolvency, possession actions, dilapidations, consent to assign/sub‑let, rent disputes, forfeiture, and property fraud.

You will be based in our perfectly located and central Birmingham office and will ideally have at least 1+ PQE. Depending on your experience you will be working alongside David on more complex matters, as well as independently on your own cases. We trust our people to work flexibly in the way that works best for them, their teams and our clients.

• Competent financial management and commercial awareness, including accurate time recording, billing, achievement of firm delivered targets and management of WIP.

• Have directly relevant previous experience and have the correct level of post qualified experience (PQE) for the role in question.
• To have a strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry and business of the client.
• A proven track record of competent financial management, ability to meet client expectations and sound case management skills.
• Good IT skills, experience, and confidence with using case management systems, electronic time recording and general Microsoft packages.
• To be a self‑starting, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
• To be able to consistently demonstrate and embody the firm’s values.
