Head of Residential Property – West Midlands

A well-established and highly respected law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its Residential Property team
. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated conveyancing specialist to play a key role in shaping and leading a growing team, with a clear pathway to heading up the conveyancing function as part of the firm’s wider growth plans.

The Role- Manage and supervise members of the residential conveyancing team, ensuring consistently high standards of client service
- Oversee a varied caseload of residential property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, new builds, and shared ownership
- Provide technical guidance and support on complex conveyancing matters
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, lender criteria, and internal policies
- Monitor team performance, set objectives, and support ongoing professional development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, and other stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and client experience
- Support the Head of Department in delivering strong financial performance and diligence, both personally and across the team

About You- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive
- Significant experience in residential conveyancing
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a conveyancing team
- Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures, SDLT, Land Registry requirements, and lender panels
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A proactive, collaborative approach to team leadership and client care
