Salary Range: £50,000 – £65,000 DOE

I’m working with a national law firm that is growing its Clinical Negligence team in Birmingham. The role focuses on defendant work, mainly involving higher value spinal cord and brain injury claims, and would suit someone looking to build a specialism in this area. You’ll be joining an established team where lawyers are given the time and support to run their cases properly, rather than working to volume‑style targets.

• Manage your own caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims
• Work on high-value spinal cord and brain injury matters
• Assist on complex and multi‑track litigation
• Work closely with clients, counsel and experts
• Contribute to the development and growth of the wider team

• 2–5 PQE Solicitor (higher levels considered)
• Defendant clinical negligence experience is essential
• Experience working on NHS, MDU or similar panels is desirable
• Confident running your own cases with appropriate supervision
• Strong technical ability and attention to detail
• Professional, personable and commercially aware

• Salary in the region of £50,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
• High‑quality, specialist defendant work
• Hybrid working, typically two days in the office and three from home
• Clear progression at Associate and Senior Associate level
• A genuinely interesting caseload rather than volume‑driven work
