A leading UK commercial insurer is seeking a Fleet Underwriter to join their Birmingham team. The successful candidate will underwrite and manage a portfolio of fleet insurance business, support broker trading activity, and contribute to sustainable, profitable growth. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.

• Underwrite fleet accounts accurately, efficiently, and profitably.
• Build and maintain strong trading relationships with regional brokers.
• Support new business growth across the Birmingham and wider Midlands market.
• Monitor account performance and provide insights based on data and market trends.
• Collaborate with internal underwriting and operational teams to ensure consistent decision-making and adherence to underwriting strategy.

• Demonstrable experience in commercial motor or fleet underwriting.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and decision‑making skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain productive broker relationships.
• Solid understanding of insurance regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
