What you’ll be doing :
  • Demonstrate and promote a thorough knowledge of company guidelines and authority levels to achieve new‑business targets.
  • Provide excellent service to brokers and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Underwrite a variety of exposures within defined authority.
  • Attend underwriting meetings and provide insight into developments, trends and market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within the wider business.
Our must haves:
  • Demonstrable underwriting experience – ideally in social welfare/care risks (commercial insurance also considered).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Track record in building and developing broker relationships.
  • Proficient IT skills including MS Office and broker e‑trading platform.
  • Proven ability to secure business while maintaining underwriting discipline.
