Salesforce CPQ Architect

As we continue to mature into a more data-driven, customer-centric organisation, we’re looking for a Salesforce CPQ Architect to play a critical role in designing, building, and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions that directly support our growth ambitions.

This is a hands‑on architecture role with strong stakeholder exposure.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with an expectation to attend our head office (Birmingham) approximately once per month, as well as for onboarding and other key business activities where in person collaboration is important.

• Partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, outcomes, and success measures.
• Translate complex commercial and operational needs into clear, scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Lead solution design sessions, documenting architectures that balance current needs with future scalability.
• Architect and deliver Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and related capabilities to support end-to-end Lead-to-Cash processes.
• Own data governance standards to ensure a secure, compliant, and high-performing Salesforce environment.

• Design and implement CI/CD deployment strategies using Gearset across multiple orgs and teams.
• Oversee custom development, integrations, and data migrations within Salesforce implementations.
• Work collaboratively with third‑party partners and consultants to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Define and enforce best practices across Salesforce development, integrations, and data management.
• Act as a subject matter expert in Salesforce CPQ, integrations, and document generation (e.g. Docu Sign, Conga).
• Continuously optimise existing solutions and integrations to maximise efficiency and business value.

• 5+ years’ overall professional experience, including: 2+ years as a Salesforce Developer and 1+ year of hands‑on Salesforce CPQ experience
• Proven delivery of enterprise‑scale Lead-to-Order / Lead-to-Cash solutions.
• Strong experience with Service Contracts and document generation tools such as Docu Sign, Conga, and Quip.
• Solid understanding of environment and release management, version control, and deployment practices (Gearset and Bitbucket preferred).
• Deep understanding of Salesforce data models, performance optimisation, and scalable architecture.
• Experience working across multiple Salesforce clouds (e.g. Sales Cloud, App Exchange).
• Strong integration experience, connecting Salesforce with platforms such as Net Suite, Kantata, ETL tools, and marketing automation systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile and Kanban delivery, including JIRA.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive accountability across teams.
