As an SAP S/4

HANA PPDS Consultant
, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced production planning and detailed scheduling solutions within SAP S/4

HANA.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, production planners, and IT teams to optimise manufacturing planning, improve scheduling accuracy, and enhance supply chain performance. This role requires deep functional expertise in Embedded PP/DS, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex business planning requirements into scalable SAP solutions.

• Act as a subject matter expert for SAP S/4
  
  HANA Embedded PP/DS across implementation and BAU support.
• Design, implement, configure, and optimise PP/DS solutions for advanced planning and detailed scheduling.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective production planning, capacity planning, sequencing, and scheduling solutions.
• Configure core PP/DS master data including planning versions, PDS (Production Data Structures), resources, modes, and heuristics.
• Design and configure heuristics, planning strategies, optimisation profiles, and pegging strategies aligned to customer‑specific planning needs.
• Support finite capacity planning, order sequencing, alert‑based planning, and scenario modelling to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Enable and manage PP/DS processes including the DS Planning Board, Alert Monitor, CIF integration, and custom planning rules.
• Integrate PP/DS with core S/4
  
  HANA modules including PP, MM, and SD, APO migration scenarios, and external MES or production automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PP/DS‑related issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure system stability, CIF consistency, and planning performance.
• Support project delivery activities including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, cutover planning, and go‑live support.
• Produce functional specifications, process documentation, and operational SOPs.
• Provide end‑user training and knowledge transfer to planning and operations teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, planners, architects, and technical teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end planning operations.

• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA PP/DS (Embedded PP/DS).
• Strong understanding of production planning, MRP, and detailed scheduling processes.
• Experience with CIF integration, IDocs, queues, and SAP Fiori applications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting both project delivery and BAU environments.
• Deep expertise in PP/DS configuration and solution design for master planning and detailed scheduling.
• Hands‑on experience with PP/DS heuristics, planning strategies, IPPE, and PDS.
• Ability to align PP/DS solutions with real‑world business planning constraints and objectives.
• Strong understanding of core S/4
  
  HANA logistics and manufacturing processes.
• Proven capability in analysing complex planning challenges and delivering scalable, sustainable PP/DS solutions.
