What You’ll Do
As a Business Relationship Manager, you will:
- Serve as the front‑door to IT
, managing new requests and guiding stakeholders through the technology pipeline. - Build strong, trusted relationships across practice groups and business services teams.
- Shape and articulate technology strategies aligned to business needs.
- Capture, prioritise, and translate business requirements into clear cases for delivery.
- Own the governance of new initiatives, ensuring appropriate review and alignment with the wider technology roadmap.
- Partner with senior leaders to support strategic planning, change management, and portfolio prioritisation.
- Work closely with project delivery, architecture, and operational teams to ensure initiatives are scoped, planned, and transitioned effectively.
- Support change adoption, ensuring the business is ready and engaged before new solutions go live.
- Oversee the IT communication plan, ensuring visibility of progress, risks, and major initiatives across the firm.
- Experience in a relationship‑led role such as Business Relationship Manager, IT Business Partner, or similar.
- Strong ability to manage multiple business demands and align them into a clear change portfolio.
- Experience influencing and engaging with senior stakeholders, with the credibility to understand strategic direction.
- Proven ability to translate technology concepts into clear, non‑technical language for business audiences.
- Confident decision‑making, especially when managing conflicting priorities.
- Experience guiding organisations through change and supporting technology adoption.
- BRMP or CBRM certification is beneficial but not essential.
- A natural connector who can build trusted partnerships across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to shape, challenge, and contribute to technology planning.
- Strong governance and analytical skills to ensure the right work is prioritised.
- Comfortable facilitating discussions, leading stakeholder reviews, and driving clarity around requirements.
- Collaborative, organised, and highly proactive.
- Able to advocate for the business within IT and for IT within the business.
