Whats in it for you Salary of £40,000 £ 45,000 depending on experience Excellent benefits package within a stable, long-established business Hands-on role combining embedded software, electronics and product development Exposure to advanced radio, surveillance and communications technologies One central Birmingham site with strong transport links and on-site parking What youll be getting stuck into as a Software Design Engineer Designing, modifying and maintaining embedded firmware across a varied product range Diagnosing and resolving software-related faults from production builds and customer returns Supporting product testing by ensuring firmware behaves correctly under real-world conditions Managing software revisions, documentation and change control across your own code library Contributing to product development projects and future technology research initiatives Providing technical support to colleagues by owning issues through to resolution What youll bring to the table as a Software Design Engineer Previous experience within the electronics industry, including schematic interpretation and component-level fault diagnosis Embedded C/C++ development for small PCBs using IAR compilers Strong working knowledge of Texas Instruments MSP
