IT Support Engineer (2nd/3rd Line) – Hybrid, Birmingham (3 days per week in the office)

Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges and driving technical improvement? We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative 2nd/3rd Line Engineer to join our client’s expanding IT function.

In this role, you’ll act as a technical authority within IT support operations, providing an escalation point for the internal team while also supporting the delivery of key technology change across the business. You’ll work with a wide range of modern technologies across on‑premises and cloud environments, including AWS, network and security appliances, backup solutions, and core business systems.

You’ll partner closely with colleagues and external providers, so excellent communication skills are vital. A strong awareness of information security, risk, and best practice will underpin how you operate. You may also be asked to deputise for the Head of IT Services & Security as needed.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing 2nd/3rd line IT support in line with SLAs, covering connectivity issues, system outages, incident response, and critical upgrades
