Overview
Company Description Novotel Birmingham Centre is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team at the hotel. This position is for a NIGHT AUDITOR TEAM MEMBER who welcomes guests and provides support to all Front Office departments as well as working closely and helping all hotel departments. This 4-star hotel has 148 rooms and 8 meeting rooms and is located in the heart of the city centre.

- Provide a friendly and personalised welcome for our guests
- Offer an attentive and personalised service
- Handle any comments made by guests and ensure follow-up
- Convey the image of the brand and the hotel
- Handle and resolve guest feedback in the most efficient and satisfying manner
- Greet, check-in, respond to requests and settle accounts while providing exceptional service
- Take initiative to add a personalized experience
- Proudly promote the hotel facilities and look for opportunities to enhance a guest’s stay through up-selling
- Front Office operations including night shifts
- Welcome guests on arrival with care and a personalised approach
- Handle guest correspondences by telephone, email, fax, and in person with prompt follow-ups
- Manage daily room inventory and coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure requested rooms are available according to arrival times
- Ensure that credit & cash handling procedures are followed per company policy
- Handle overbooking/out bookings to maximise occupancy
- Assist at any stage of the guest stay, from welcome to farewell
- Promote the ALL loyalty programme
- Promote company facilities and services
- Strong computer proficiency, with experience in hotel management software (Opera Cloud preferred)
- Basic accounting knowledge and ability to work with financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team player mentality with a customer-focused approach
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- Previous experience in hotel front desk or night audit roles is a plus
