Job Overview

We are seeking to appoint a cohort of suitably qualified and accredited Occupational Therapists to support the delivery of our Occupational Therapy service.

The successful candidates will have a minimum of three years' post-qualification professional experience and will be responsible for independently completing Occupational Therapy assessments and contributing to high-quality, person-centred interventions.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Occupational Therapists seeking a locum engagement with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete a minimum of three Occupational Therapy assessments per week
    , ensuring professional, evidence-based practice.
  • Undertake holistic assessments of service users' functional abilities, needs, and risks.
  • Develop and implement appropriate intervention plans and recommendations.
  • Provide equipment, minor adaptations, and rehabilitation guidance where appropriate.
  • Produce high-quality, timely reports and maintain accurate case records.
  • Work collaboratively alongside existing members of the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Adhere to local authority policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements, and supervision arrangements.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to service delivery improvements.
Essential Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current professional registration with HCPC (or relevant regulatory body).
  • Minimum three years' post-qualification experience within an Occupational Therapy setting.
  • Valid and current DBS check.
  • Strong assessment and report-writing skills.
  • Experience working within community, local authority, or adult social care settings (desirable if applicable).
  • Ability to manage caseloads independently.
Contract Details
  • Minimum engagement period of four months.
  • Potential for extension or continuation as an ongoing locum contract, subject to service demand.
  • Expected to meet service delivery targets, including a minimum of three assessments per week.
