This role involves working at either Good Hope, Heartlands or Queen Elizabeth Hospital as a Clinical Support Pharmacist participating in 13‑week rotations across specialties including general medicine, general surgery, cardiology, T&O, healthcare of older people and an extended service in Acute Medicine, supported and mentored by a rotation lead and line manager.
You will have the opportunity to undertake a clinical diploma or NHSE/RPS Newly Qualified Pharmacist Pathway and subsequently a non‑medical prescribing qualification.

Main duties of the jobYou will deliver a quality clinical pharmacy service, and there will be a strong emphasis on supporting you in developing clinical and professional skills to enable progress within your career.
You will be a highly motivated individual and a team player with well‑developed communication skills and a desire to use your knowledge, skills and experience to improve patient care and influence healthcare professionals in the best use of medicines.

- Vocational Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Experience of working in pharmacy practice
- Previous participation in multi‑disciplinary team
- Demonstrates commitment and enthusiasm for providing high quality pharmaceutical care
- Possesses knowledge of available resources to guide clinical decision making
- Hospital pharmacy experience in clinical pharmacy services
- Possesses relevant clinical knowledge
- Knowledge of national initiatives and guidelines, e.g. NICE, NSF
- Possesses knowledge of available resources to answer Medicines Information queries
- Demonstrates good knowledge of hospital pharmacy and current issues
