Overview
To provide therapeutic assessment, management and treatment of patients in a variety of specialties at Heartlands Hospital. Focusing interventions to a wide variety of clinical cases, applying physiotherapy knowledge. There will be a strong focus on facilitating discharges home, or to other care pathways.
You will be required to participate in seven day working and on the respiratory on call rota.
Responsibilities- Undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner and maintain associated records.
- Assist with supervision, education and co-ordination of band 5 therapists, generic therapy support workers and students.
- Develop clinical and interdisciplinary team skills by working as part of the therapy team across various rotations — OPAL, Short Stay, HCOP, T&O, Respiratory, Stroke, Specialist Surgery, Medicals and MAU.
- Engage as an excellent team worker with knowledge across a range of therapy treatments.
- Contribute to a friendly, supportive environment with commitment to continued professional and career development of all staff; gain clinical and leadership experience and develop organisational and service development skills.
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist with experience in a broad range of therapy teams and clinical areas.
- Experience at Band 5 or Band 6 level seeking new opportunities; rotational posts based at Heartlands Hospital.
- Ability to develop clinical and interdisciplinary team skills within a multidisciplinary setting.
