Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to continue leading the development of St Andrews Birmingham Secure Services and to become an integral part of the REACH OUT partnership. The role is based in Birmingham with flexible hours (22 - 37.5 hours per week) and a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities- Lead a full multi-disciplinary team and shape services through strategic decision-making, improvement projects and joint working.
- Undertake research projects as part of St Andrews commitment to innovation and world-class care.
- Deliver value-based healthcare focusing on clinical outcomes and use up-to-date data to inform safety and care in line with International Consortium of Health Outcome Measures recommendations.
St Andrews Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare services. We work with NHS, voluntary, educational and research organisations to deliver specialist inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education and research that helps improve lives.
The RoleThe role If successful you will lead a full multi-disciplinary team and help shape services through strategic decision-making and joint working. The vacancy is in Low Secure Services but can be flexible for the right candidate. The Birmingham Site offers opportunities to deliver value-based healthcare with focus on outcomes. We use data to inform safety and care and align with IHOM recommendations.
Applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent and hold a CCT in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry. The post holder will be required to undertake on-call duties on a rota basis (currently one week in 6 weeks). The post attracts a competitive salary with travel allowance, NHS-equivalent sickness policy, 41 days annual leave, car lease scheme, free parking, cycle to work, relocation allowance subject to status, ongoing CPD and more.
