Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist - Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust

Full time and Part time available
- Hours:

22.5 hours to 37.5 hours per week

2 x B6 Speech and Language Therapist - BCHC NHS Foundation Trust - 22.5 hours to 37.5 hours per week until end March 2026

Based mainly in the South & South-west of the city OR the North & East of the city

We are seeking 2 B6 SaLTs experienced in working with the full range of SLCN (including social communication) in School Age

You will support children, families and education staff working as a link therapist in mainstream schools. There is also opportunity to work in a small number of special schools if experience allows.

You must be skilled in caseload management, negotiation skills, navigation of IT systems, conducting assessments (both informal and formal) and delivering functional intervention strategies and tailored therapy approaches.

The Service is implementing the Balanced System® , working across the 5 strands and the 3 levels:
Universal, Targeted and Specialist , so experience and/or knowledge of this approach is required

Knowledge of EPR, specifically RIO, would be an advantage

The work is peripatetic so we are seeking a car driver with access to own vehicle
