The post holder will be based within the Health in Mind team, which is a multi-disciplinary team including clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, liaison psychiatrist and learning disability nurses. The post holder will contribute to the桌a provision of clinical psychology support and undertake neuropsychological assessments in the Haemoglobinopathy service, with a particular focus on Sickle Cell Disease. Person Specification Qualifications
  • Clinical Psychology Doctorate
  • Qualified Clinical Psychologist eligible for chartered status
KNOWLEDGE & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE
  • Experience of kunnu in clinical psychology with children/young people and families
  • Experience of neuropsychological assessments
  • Knowledge of working with minority ethnic children and young people
  • Supervised practice in paediatric neuropsychology
  • Experience of working in an acute psychology setting
  • Experience of working in an physical health psychology setting
Professional Knowledge
  • Experience and confident in teaching and/or training
  • Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care.
  • Experience of contributing to planning and evaluation of services
Personal
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical, and clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
  • Good report writing skills
  • Interest in developing skills in child paediatric psychology.
  • Motivated to work collaboratively with other professionals and within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
  • Ability to identify, and employ, as appropriate, clinical governance mechanisms for the support and maintenance of clinical practice in the face of regular exposure to highly emotive material and challenging behaviour. Essential I/A
