Job Summary
Join us at the forefront of orthopaedic excellence, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham is looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our team. Whether you are newly qualified or an established Band 5 seeking a fresh challenge, this role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in both Musculoskeletal Out‑patients and In‑patient Orthopaedics. Our comprehensive 12‑month preceptorship programme will ensure you receive the support you need to thrive in your role.
MainDuties
- Complete rotations within musculoskeletal out‑patients and orthopaedic in‑patients, taking responsibility for a designated caseload.
- Undertake physiotherapy assessment and treatment of patients, liaising with more senior staff as appropriate while maintaining the highest standards.
- Show a commitment to ongoing learning and actively engage with completing the Trust’s preceptorship programme.
- BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- HCPC Registration.
- NHS experience (undergraduate level acceptable).
- In‑patient experience (undergraduate level acceptable).
- Out‑patient experience (undergraduate level acceptable).
- Evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Knowledge of evidence‑based practice.
- Validated courses.
- Out‑patient musculoskeletal experience.
- Orthopaedic experience.
- Experience of MDT work.
- Knowledge of audit & clinical governance.
