Band 7 CBT Therapist – Bipolar Service Team

Join the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 7 CBT Therapist or Clinical Psychologist in our specialist secondary care Bipolar Service Team. The role is full‑time and offers the opportunity to work with adults, older adults and young people, delivering a range of cognitive behavioural and family interventions online and face‑to‑face.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Mood on Track group CBT programme and individual staying‑well interventions.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and tailor specific interventions for the programme.
  • Provide individual CBT and family intervention following Mood on Track.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and other trust teams, engaging in liaison work across the city.
  • Participate in research and service evaluation activities, where appropriate to interest and experience.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in secondary care mental health community services with adults, older adults or young people (prior therapeutic training acceptable).
  • Qualified as a Clinical Psychologist or a BABCP‑registered CBT therapist.
  • Familiarity with complex mental health and behavioural needs, BAME communities and areas of socioeconomic deprivation.
  • Willingness to travel to sites in different localities across Birmingham and Solihull.
