Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading independent accountancy firm in the West Midlands for a Corporate Tax Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will manage and develop a high‑performing Corporate Tax compliance and advisory team within the Corporate Tax service line. The successful candidate will act as the technical lead on complex corporate tax matters, supporting clients while driving advisory excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio and Client Management:
Manage a diverse corporate tax portfolio, oversee technically robust compliance reviews, liaise with audit/accounts teams, and deliver high-quality advisory outcomes to clients. - Technical Advisory Leadership:
Lead on complex corporate tax matters including capital allowances, CIR, losses, transfer pricing and cross-border issues, share option schemes (EMI/CSOP), VAT, indirect taxes and duty structuring, R&D tax reliefs, creative sector reliefs, restructuring and M&A. - Team Leadership & Development:
Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members, conduct reviews, delegate effectively, and build a technically strong, confident team. - Operational & Commercial Oversight:
Drive workflow efficiency, oversee WIP and billing, maintain compliance standards, support onboarding, and identify advisory opportunities across the client base.

Qualification:
ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with a minimum of six years' corporate tax experience – preferably within a top 50 practice. - Technical Expertise:
Strong corporate tax compliance review and advisory experience across key areas including capital allowances, CIR, transfer pricing, R&D tax reliefs, indirect taxes, and restructuring/M&A. - Leadership
Experience:
Proven experience managing staff, reviewing work, and developing high‑performing teams. - Client‑Facing
Skills:
Confident in leading client meetings, delivering advisory reports, and building strong long‑term client relationships.
