Corporate Tax Manager

I am working with a leading Top 10 accounting firm that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing Birmingham office. This is an opportunity to manage a broad portfolio of corporate clients including large privately owned groups, fast growing mid market businesses, and inbound multinational companies, while taking on a key role within a respected and expanding corporate tax team.

• Manage a varied portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering high quality compliance and advisory services.
• Review corporation tax returns prepared by the team and ensure all work is technically accurate and compliant.
• Support senior colleagues on complex advisory projects including group structuring, tax planning, transactions, and international tax matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact for day to day tax queries.
• Lead and oversee junior team members, providing coaching, training, and support with their development.
• Contribute to business development activities including proposals, networking, and identifying opportunities within the existing client base.
• Work closely with other departments to provide joined up advice to clients across the wider firm.

• CTA or ACA qualified, or equivalent, with strong experience in UK corporate tax.
• Confident managing your own portfolio and working independently on both compliance and advisory matters.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax, with exposure to more advanced advisory work.
• Clear communicator, able to explain tax issues in a practical and confident manner.
• Commercially aware, proactive, and keen to contribute to the growth of the Birmingham tax practice.
