Senior Systems Accountant

An established, large international organisation is seeking a qualified Senior Systems Accountant to take ownership of its Unit4 ERP v7 Cloud finance system.

This is a hands on role focused on long-term system administration, optimisation, and business-as-usual support, not implementation.

• Act as Unit4 Super User and finance system owner
• Manage configuration, coding structures, workflows, security roles, and integrations
• Oversee updates, testing cycles, and system performance
• Provide day-to-day user support and resolve system issues
• Drive automation and process improvements
• Ensure data integrity, strong financial controls, and audit readiness
• Build and maintain financial reports (e.g., Power BI, Excelerator)
• Support month-end and year-end reporting
• Liaise with Finance, IT, and external system vendors

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
• Strong hands‑on experience with Unit4 ERP v7 Cloud (financial modules)
• Proven experience administering and optimising ERP systems in a live finance environment
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting frameworks
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
• Vendor and SLA management experience

Based in Birmingham. Occasional travel may be required. Subject to satisfactory background checks.
