Role Overview
Enplan schemes vary significantly in size, ranging from as little as £1m to over £200m. You will have numerous opportunities to engage and consult with these schemes as part of the Enplan team. Enplan is a subsidiary of Isio and our clients are supported by a dedicated team based in Manchester and Scotland. We welcome candidates from Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Reading, and operate on a hybrid basis – allowing you to split your working time between the office and home.

- Lead or support the delivery of advice to clients, managing key projects directly or with support.
- Work with and build relationships with clients directly, contributing as part of a team and developing those around you.
- Assist in the development of new business with existing and new clients.
We are looking for fully qualified pensions actuaries with relevant industry experience. Individuals who possess excellent pensions consulting and technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset are highly valued. - Experience – fully qualified pensions actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.
- A great communicator – able to explain complex problems in a simple way.
- Enthusiasm and motivation – a strong desire to solve problems and deliver excellent advice.
- Excellent project management and client delivery skills – especially when balancing multiple demands.
- A great team worker – either as part of a team or managing a team, depending on experience.
- Commercial skills – to help develop our business and identify new opportunities.
As part of Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team, you will work with over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients across the private, public and not‑for‑profit sectors. You’ll gain experience in areas such as managing defined benefit plans, running large‑scale communications projects and implementing alternative reward and pension provisions. We provide a wide variety of work, significant development opportunities and progression pathways – including Scheme Actuary appointments.
