Management Accountant
Location:
Huntingdon Job Type: Temp - approx. 6 Months, Hybrid 2 days in office
Hours:
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: £28.60 per hour We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis, potentially for up to 6 months. You will play a key role in financial planning, performance management and decision-making within a complex, regulated environment. The role involves delivering high-quality management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial insight for a designated business area, covering both OPEX and CAPEX.
You will ensure accurate actuals, budgets and forecasts, maintain compliance with financial controls, and drive continuous improvement in finance processes while working closely with stakeholders and virtual finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce financial budgets and forecasts for the designated business area Act as the single point of contact for assigned budget holders, providing all relevant financial data and information Work closely with the Finance Manager, Financial Controller and wider team to build key milestones and budget objectives into plans and timetables Ensure compliance with agreed budget timetables and processes Drive standardised continuous improvement in budgeting and forecasting processes Deliver the forecasting process, challenging assumptions and ensuring an appropriate balance of risk and opportunity Maintain compliance with financial controls, escalating control issues where required and communicating key control messages Requirements:
Qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience Proven experience in management accounting Experience producing actuals, forecasts and budgets Strong stakeholder management experience Experience working within financial controls, policies and procedures Sound knowledge and practical application of financial reporting and analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, SAP analysis and reporting applications) Please note that at times due to the volume of applications we may not be able to respond to each person individually.
