About the Role
We’re supporting a well-established and growing organisation in Birmingham City Centre as they
652 look to appoint a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst
. This is a high-visibility role within the finance function, ideal for someone who thrives on driving insight, improving performance, and influencing strategic decision‑making.
You’ll play a key part in shaping financial planning processes, partnering closely with senior stakeholders, and delivering high‑quality analysis that supports commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning cycles across the organisation.
- Produce high‑quality financial models, scenario analysis and performance dashboards.
- Partner with senior leadership teams to provide commercial insight and challenge assumptions.
- Analyse financial results, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support strategic projects including pricing, investment appraisal, and profitability analysis.
- Improve and standardise FP&A processes, reporting packs, and planning tools.
- Work closely with operational teams to enhance business understanding and financial performance.
- Present financial insights to Finance, SLT and Board‑level audiences.
About You
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent Ul with strong post‑qualification experience.
- Proven background in FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability; experience with BI tools highly advantageous.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions‑focused.
