A professional services firm is looking to appoint a Personal Tax Manager to play an important role within its personal tax operations. This position offers the chance to take ownership of key processes, contribute to improvements, and work closely with colleagues across the wider team to ensure effective service delivery.

The role involves overseeing the flow of personal tax work, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and that clients are kept informed throughout the year. You will help manage routine submissions, support the handling of queries, and ensure that essential administrative and compliance activities run smoothly.

Alongside this, you may be involved in project-based pieces of work, for example, helping document procedural changes, preparing information for internal reviews, or assisting with updates linked to legislative developments that affect personal tax obligations.

Your involvement will support the smooth running of the tax function and help maintain a reliable, well‑organised service for clients.

• Coordinating personal tax tasks and tracking ongoing progress
• Preparing or reviewing documentation needed for yearly submissions
• Assisting with updates when tax rules or internal procedures are revised
  
  Managing routine correspondence with clients about information or deadlines
• Providing assistance to senior team members on occasional one‑off tasks

You will ideally bring:

• A relevant tax qualification (such as ATT, CTA, or similar experience)
• Background in personal tax work at a supervisory or managerial level
• Confidence reviewing compliance activity and handling technical details
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients
• Good organisational ability and a forward‑thinking attitude to managing workload
