Indirect Tax Associate Director

This is an opportunity to join the leading Indirect Tax Big 4 team in the Midlands and progress towards Partnership.

You will work for a prominent Big 4 international firm that has experienced remarkable growth recently, with 2024 set to be their best year to date. In this role, you will manage a diverse client portfolio spanning sectors such as retail, technology, food, manufacturing, and more.

About the Role:

Your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors. You will assist Directors and Partners in providing VAT services and may also oversee team members.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing advice on VAT issues, including expanding into new jurisdictions, handling HMRC disputes, and VAT treatment of new income streams.
• Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Identifying profitable advisory opportunities.
• Assisting with tender proposals.
• Training staff on VAT matters.

This firm seeks individuals eager to progress quickly to Director, with a strong commercial mindset and ambition.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Up-to-date VAT technical knowledge across large corporate and owner-managed businesses.
• Experience handling VAT advisory matters and report writing skills.
• A solid understanding of key VAT principles.
• The ability to explain complex VAT issues clearly to non-experts.
