Head of Finance
Salary: £70k - £80k
Location: Birmingham
Job Type: 12 Month FTC
We are looking for a strategic and commercially focused Head of Finance to join our client and lead financial operations, drive business performance, and provide senior leadership across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and board-level reporting.
- Oversee financial controls, governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Manage the finance team, developing capability and ensuring high performance.
- Own cashflow, treasury, statutory accounts, audit, and tax compliance.
- Partner with senior leadership to support decision-making and operational improvements.
- Drive systems development and process efficiencies, including new system implementation.
- Ensure accurate delivery of finance operations including payroll, reconciliations, and reporting.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or QBE with senior leadership experience).
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, financial controls, and statutory reporting.
- Proven experience leading a finance function.
- Excellent communication skills with board-level confidence.
- Commercial, analytical, and systems-aware.
