Alexander Daniels are recruiting a Management Accountant for a business based in Birmingham on an initial 6-month interim basis. This business is thriving within its industry, performing excellently and boasts ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will be offered future development and the opportunity to work closely with senior finance members.

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI’s, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist in the preparation of the year end accounts for audit.
• Assist in the annual budget process, producing reports to assist managers in preparation of their departmental budget.
• Analysing overheads, investigate variances versus the annual budget/forecast.
• Analysing and evaluating job costs against the company’s internal costing matrix, highlighting and reporting variances in a timely manner.
• Guiding and assisting the transactional team and providing cover as and when necessary.
• Business partnering with Departmental Managers on projects and cost saving initiatives.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role and be working towards a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA). A good level of Excel skills is also essential, Pivot tables & VLOOKUP’s a minimum.

This role is hybrid and would require you to reliably commute to the office location 3 days a week.
