This is an exciting opportunity for an Interim Financial Accountant to contribute to a large and growing business based in Birmingham. The role involves key responsibilities in accounting and finance, providing expertise on VAT.

Client Details

This is a company based in Birmingham. It is a large organisation, specialising in providing innovative solutions and services within its sector.

• Prepare and review accurate VAT returns for UK, Netherlands and Ireland, ensuring timely submission and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Manage the process for collating the data for the PSA return. This involves understanding the Staff Expenses process and identifying what information should be brought into the PSA return.
• Analyse financial data and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Provide financial insights to aid decision-making within the business.

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• A strong background in accounting and finance within the Technology & Telecoms industry.
• Proven experience in tax accounting and compliance, preferably within a multinational or complex business environment. Background in VAT management is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.

• Competitive daily rate between £300 and £350 per day
