About the RoleWe currently have x4 openings for experienced Senior Trade Surveillance Analysts
, to join the Chief Controls Office team!
You’ll play a pivotal role in monitoring Lloyds Banking Group’s trading activity across multiple asset classes to detect potential market abuse and other regulatory breaches. You’ll review surveillance alerts, lead complex investigations, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of surveillance systems and processes. This is a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of our markets and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
KeyAccountabilities Surveillance & Investigation
- Review trade surveillance alerts for suspicious behaviour that may breach laws, regulations, or internal policies, and take appropriate action.
- Conduct ad-hoc deep-dive investigations into suspicious trading patterns and potential market manipulation.
- Maintain end-to-end oversight of the escalation process for suspicious alerts.
- Enhance surveillance processes by identifying issues, calibrating thresholds, and engaging with 1
LOD and 2
LOD to improve control effectiveness and efficiency. - Work closely with Compliance and other stakeholders to respond to regulatory and exchange enquiries.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and emerging risks, updating surveillance plans and controls accordingly.
- Produce management information and thematic analysis on alerts, trends, issues, and control effectiveness for Business Heads and Risk Committees.
- Mentor junior colleagues and act as a Trade Surveillance Subject Matter Expert, sharing product and surveillance knowledge across the team.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:
Technical & Regulatory Expertise- Strong commercial experience working in trade surveillance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FICC products.
- Strong understanding of the UK regulatory framework, including Market Abuse rules and FCA principles.
- Experience using Trading Hub.
- Previous Front Office or Operations experience.
