Audit Manager – Banking and Lending

RSM is one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, and we are expanding our audit offering in the banking, building society, and lending sectors. This Audit Manager role will lead the delivery of audits for lending clients with a strong emphasis on IFRS9
, managing a diverse portfolio and working closely with Directors and Partners.
- Manage a portfolio of statutory audits in the lending sector, reporting to Directors and Partners, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and quality standards.
- Oversee and brief staff on assignments, provide training, liaise with senior client staff, and resolve key audit matters in consultation with stakeholders.
- Attend and present at client audit committees and board meetings, and support Directors/Partners with business development, including scoping and pitching.
- Lead recruitment, line management, sector‑specific training, and development of junior team members, while participating in industry organisations.
- Collaborate with national technical and training teams to enhance audit methodology and training on IFRS9 and other technical areas impacting lenders.
- ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification with strong IFRS 9 expertise, particularly in accounting and auditing expected credit losses.
- Practical experience auditing ECL models for retail/consumer lending products such as mortgages, personal loans, credit cards, and consumer finance.
- Background in banking, commercial or retail finance sectors, with ability to develop or enhance IFRS 9 audit methodologies.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience leading teams and delivering complex assignments.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative and team‑oriented approach.
- Hybrid working between our office in London and on client site.
