Job Description What will you be doing?

We’re seeking an ambitious individual to join our Financial Planning team in Birmingham. You will provide full administrative support to Financial Planners, ensuring client satisfaction through direct contact with clients and other operational colleagues, while adhering to regulatory standards. This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to be in the office 3 days per week (initially 5 days during probation).

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with aligned Financial Planners to deliver excellent client outcomes.
  • Build relationships with clients and maintain regular contact.
  • Maintain back‑office systems and client records in line with company policies.
  • Request policy information from third‑party policy providers where applicable.
  • Liaise with operational teams (scripts, transfers, corporate actions, static data changes, where applicable).
  • Prepare meeting packs and valuations as required.
  • Process all business in accordance with required processes & proactive pipeline management, including establishing new accounts on internal systems and collating AML documentation.
  • Identify and report any risks, breaches or errors; ensure risks are logged through to mitigating actions and controls.
  • Encourage client use of portal and other digital tools; provide guidance where required.
  • Collaborate and share best practices with colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting Financial Advisors or Planners – ideally 2 to 5 years.
  • Knowledge of processing new business, preparing meeting packs, valuations and withdrawals.
  • Knowledge of financial products (ISAs, GIAs, SIPPs, Pensions, Offshore Bonds & Trusts).
  • A strong ethic of client service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with influencing and organisational skills.
  • Ability to use judgement and reasoning to propose solutions to problems.
Professional Qualifications and Education
  • Excellent standard of education – ideally degree qualified, but not essential.
  • Interested in further development through additional qualifications.
