We are looking for candidates who seek experience of a broad and varied range of banking transactions including general banking transactions, acquisition finance, real‑estate finance, project finance and asset‑based lending. The position can be based at our Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester or Reading office. The successful candidate will have 4–7 years post‑qualification experience and will be qualified to practice law in England and Wales or equivalent.

Role overview:

• Work on complex banking & finance transactions.
• Serve predominantly UK‑based financial institutions including major clearing banks, challenger banks and specialist lenders.
• Act for private equity houses, management teams and debt funders across various debt structures.
• Experience real‑estate finance practice including acquisitions, investments, developments and portfolio management.

Person profile:

• Strong technical and negotiation skills.
• Strong drafting experience including facility agreements, LMA agreements and credit agreements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident manner in engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Strong teamwork ethic and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Drive, commitment, self‑motivation and a “can do” attitude.
• Discretion and professionalism at all times.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
