A leading, well-established and highly respected main contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected business delivering major projects across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare and mixed‑use developments.

The RoleAs an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for M&E packages from procurement through to final account, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the commercial aspects of M&E packages across live projects
- Procurement and management of specialist subcontractors
- Cost planning, forecasting and reporting
- Valuations, variations and change management
- Contract administration and risk management
- Supporting the wider project and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- M&E biased Quantity Surveyors currently working within main contracting, or Commercial professionals from an M&E subcontractor background looking to step into main contracting
- You may come from either a mechanical or electrical/engineering background
- Experience managing M&E packages on construction projects
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- The ability to build strong relationships with project teams and supply chain partners
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
