Facade Designer

Locations: Oxford or Birmingham

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Façade Engineer/Designer to join their Oxford or Birmingham office. You will specialise in building science and facade technology, delivering technically excellent, aesthetically striking, and high-performance building envelopes.

• Design and deliver high-quality facades across diverse projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use).
• Lead project delivery from inception to construction, including feasibility, design, and construction stages.
• Perform structural, thermal, and performance analysis of facades; produce technical documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Manage and supervise junior team members and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure projects comply with regulatory, safety, and professional standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Support CAD/Revit standards and the technical development of the architectural team.

• 10+ years’ experience in façade design/engineering with an understanding of architectural principles.
• Proficient in CAD, Revit, and structural/thermal analysis software (STAAD.Pro, SAP
  2000, Mepla, Flixo, Vitrage, ANSYS, etc.).
• Expertise in unitised, curtain wall, planar, cable truss, twin wall, fire-rated, and blast-resistant facades.
• Familiarity with façade materials, performance, and specialist systems (Schuco, Kawneer, Technal, SAPA, Pilkington).
• Strong project management, client liaison, and team leadership skills.
• Membership or working towards membership of relevant professional bodies (MSFE, ACIOB, ICE, IStruct
  
  E).
