Job DescriptionWith increased workload and new clients in the Public and Private sectors, we are expanding our Contract Services team in our UK offices.
The successful candidate will join a specialist team delivering best‑in‑class strategic procurement and contract advice for large‑scale projects and programmes.
OpportunityThe role will be a part of our growing Contract Services team and will play a significant part in the continued expansion of our services, including Sustainable Procurement, Transformation, Renewables, Digital Procurement and Net Zero Strategies.
Main Expectations- Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients.
- Manage and collaborate with a team on end‑to‑end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
- Support the development of the procurement services provided by T&T.
- Support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s service proposition.
- Support the delivery of both team and wider business targets.
- Support bid preparation and proposal documentation to strengthen the Contract Services team’s work‑winning capability.
- Experience leading and/or supporting projects in a strategic procurement environment.
- Strong background in tender preparation and development of relevant documents.
- Experience in supplier engagement activities, including market engagement through to contract award.
- Cross‑sector experience with Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or equivalent.
- Experience using standard form contracts including NEC and JCT, developing terms, negotiation and award.
- MCIPs accreditation, or working towards it.
- Preferably a degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement.
- Preferably experience working in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (roads, rail, etc.) sectors.
- Security Clearance (SC) – currently valid or could be reinstated.
- Develop procurement strategy within a project or programme context.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Understanding of commercial principles and modelling.
- Delivery of strategy and/or development of documentation in a capital project or programme environment.
- Adaptable and taking personal responsibility to succeed the right way.
- Confident, independent and able to work with autonomy without need for supervision.
- Be able to manage multiple activities and stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate and develop and/or manage a team to achieve desired outcomes.
