Senior Structural Engineer

Chartered Structural Engineer - Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

We're currently working with a well-established and growing structural consultancy based in Welwyn Garden City, who are looking to bring on a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their close-knit and experienced team.

With a strong pipeline of projects across London and the South East, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on design work and playing a key role in project delivery-from single-beam residential jobs to multi-million-pound developments.

What you'll be doing:

Leading the structural design and delivery of a wide variety of commercial and residential projects
Working directly with clients, architects, and contractors to solve complex design challenges
Producing structural calculations and drawings to UK building standards and regulations
Mentoring junior team members and contributing to technical development across the team
Conducting structural assessments, site inspections, and reporting as required

What we're looking for:

Chartered status with IStruct

E or ICE
Strong experience in structural design across various materials and project types
Comfortable using a range of design software (e.g. Tekla, TEDDS, or similar)
A confident communicator with a practical, solutions-driven approach
Ideally based within commuting distance of Welwyn Garden City (or open to relocation)
UK work authorisation and a valid driving licence preferred
