Design of electrical systems to concept stage meeting business, statutory legal and contractual requirements for government programs with an ensuing role of Technical Assurance Management ensuring that the design principles are maintained by the contractor through the developed design and construction. There will be requirements to assist the client in the tender process, condition surveys and handover.

• Initial Structural appraisal of projects.
• Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber
• Advising the client on the need for surveys.
• Compiling surveys scopes to enable surveys to be procured.
• Review of surveys and providing advice on impact on project costs.
• Initial calculations to Eurocodes to enable project costs to be established.
• The production of feasibility reports.
• The production of employers requirements documents.
• The production of technical specifications.
• Review of contractors proposals.
• Site visits during construction to monitor quality.
• Abilities in discipline project and an understanding of project deliverables and RIBA stages, health and safety, cost control, value engineering and site inspections. Report preparation, troubleshooting and providing advice on new and re-development projects.

• Degree qualified (or equivalent).
• Chartered professional or working towards.
• Proven ability to act as Technical Advisor for clients, challenging non-compliant designs solutions.
• Experience in presenting technical information to non-technical audiences in a clear and understandable manner.
• Good knowledge of Office 4 5 suite of tools.
