We are seeking an Engineering Manager – Electrical, Electronics & Firmware to oversee how engineering work flows through our business. This Engineering Manager – Electrical, Electronics & Firmware role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating multiple technical work streams across electrical design, electronics hardware development and embedded firmware, ensuring projects run smoothly from planning through to delivery.

While this position is not a hands‑on design role, the Engineering Manager – Electrical, Electronics & Firmware must have enough engineering understanding to follow discussions around schematics, PCB work, firmware architectures, testing requirements and overall system-level decision-making. Your focus will be on resource planning, project flow, prioritisation, budgets and management reporting.

As Engineering Manager – Electrical, Electronics & Firmware, you will:

· Coordinate workload across electrical, electronics, and firmware engineers, ensuring the right people are assigned to the right tasks at the right time.

· Manage the overall flow of engineering work, from early requirements and scoping through to release, test and production readiness.

· Oversee multi‑project resource allocation, balancing priorities between hardware, embedded firmware and system engineering activities.

· Track budgets, forecasts and project costs, providing clear updates to senior leadership.

· Support engineering teams by smoothing communication, resolving bottlenecks and ensuring key dependencies are understood and planned for.

· Produce accurate management reports covering progress, risks, resourcing and delivery timelines.

· Encourage consistent engineering processes, documentation and quality-related practices across electrical, electronics and firmware teams.

To be successful as the Engineering Manager – Electrical, Electronics & Firmware, you will need:

· Experience managing engineering workflows within engineering projects, ideally in an electrical, electronics or embedded systems environment.

· Strong organisational and project‑coordination skills, ideally across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

· The confidence to follow high‑level discussions around circuits, hardware concepts, embedded firmware structures and system architecture.

· Experience overseeing budgets, resource planning, project reporting and cross-team communication.

· The ability to translate complex engineering progress into clear updates for leadership.

· A collaborative, structured approach to supporting engineers and improving delivery processes.
