Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client who are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Facilities Engineer for a UK leading Facilities Management company. Our client specialises within hard engineering solutions and provides a full range of services in fast-moving, high-pressure manufacturing facilities, process environments and commercial spaces.

As a Facilities Engineer, you will join our internal facilities team working at an important client site to support non-core engineering and operations. Your responsibilities will include performing daily maintenance repairs and carrying out scheduled service tasks. This versatile role demands strong engineering skills and experience.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a facilities maintenance technician or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated mechanical or electrical engineering experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Electrical Bias
  • Have a UK driving license and be able to travel to different sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
  • Performing planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance tasks, and reviewing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules for effectiveness.
  • Carrying out root cause analysis to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and machinery.
  • Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
  • Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with both the client and your team.
  • Supporting minor project activities as needed.
