We are a well‑established drinks specialist looking to appoint a packaging technologist to provide technical support and assistance to the business. The role involves coordinating investigation and follow up of packaging non‑conformances, performing audits of supplier manufacturing facilities and quality systems, and ensuring compliance with specifications and functionality requirements.

Candidates must have a proven technical track record with packaging materials, advise clients on improvements and be knowledgeable of legislative and regulatory requirements. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work autonomously are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate investigation & follow up of packaging non‑conformances.
  • Perform audits of packaging suppliers manufacturing facilities and quality systems.
  • Ensure all packaging conforms to specifications and functionality requirements.
  • Advise clients on packaging improvements and developments.
  • Provide advice on legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve downtime issues related to packaging or equipment.
  • Assist sales & marketing to identify customer needs and develop packaging solutions.
Skills / Experience
  • Full driving licence.
  • FLT licence.
  • High discipline and ability to make reasoned decisions.
  • IT skills.
  • Track record of teamwork & continuous improvement objectives.
  • Strong character to stand by decisions.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

Applicant must be resident in the UK and have recent experience in print, packaging or paper sectors.
