Mobile - Birmingham (West Midlands)

Salary up to £55,000

As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality BMS installations from point of commissioning through to project handover.

This is a site-based role, primarily within the West Midlands, with occasional travel outside the region (travel expenses paid).

• Commission BMS systems in accordance with project specifications and design
• Documentation
• Carry out point-to-point checks, functional testing, and system validation
• Ensure all commissioning activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard
• Complete commissioning documentation, test sheets, and handover packs
• Produce clear and accurate progress reports for the Project Manager
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site
• Maintain design integrity throughout the commissioning process
• Write, modify and optimise BMS software and graphics when required
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and apprentices
• Liaise professionally with clients, main contractors and other trades on site
• While the majority of BMS software is developed by our Technical Manager, there will be occasions where you will be required to write or adapt software independently

• Minimum 5 years' experience within the BMS industry
• Proven experience commissioning BMS systems on live projects
• Experience with one or more of the following systems:
• Delta
• Trend
• Cylon ABB
• Tridium
• Distech
• Ability to write, modify and fault-find BMS software
• Experience modifying graphics
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good time management and ability to work independently
• CSCS Skill Card (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence

• Experience mentoring junior engineers
• Experience working on large commercial or multi-site projects
