Responsibilities
- Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance: proactively apply BBV Golden Rules and the IPTAN Way, supporting QA/QC implementation, monitoring compliance through audits and surveillances, and promoting a Right First‑Time culture across site and office activities.
- Inspection, Testing & Assurance: lead the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) process, including review, scheduling, compliance monitoring, site inspections, quality surveillances, record management, and support through DJV and HS2 acceptance and assurance processes.
- Supply Chain & Procurement Support: engage early with subcontractors and suppliers to review Quality Plans, provide training, perform external audits, support material acceptance (MAR), and participate in bidder evaluation during procurement.
- Nonconformities & Continuous Improvement: manage the NCR process from issue to closure, support root cause analysis, report quality KPIs, ensure timely close‑out, and communicate lessons learned across the project.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Handover: support Delivery Teams and Certification Engineers in readiness reviews, progress meetings, quality records (QRP/SAP), progressive handover, and maintain strong collaborative relationships with HS2, NEC Supervisors and project stakeholders.
- Degree-qualified in Quality Management or Civil Engineering, preferably ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor trained, CQI member (or working towards), CSCS card holder, with a full UK driving licence, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
- Proven Quality Management subject matter expert with experience on major civil engineering projects, working to UK and international standards, industry codes of practice, and applying Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Strong ability to gather, analyse and evaluate data to make evidence‑based decisions, with excellent attention to detail and a track record of delivering work through to completion.
- Confident working with senior management, able to challenge existing practices constructively, produce clear and persuasive reports, and build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Self‑motivated, resilient and proactive, able to manage time effectively, add value to the function, command respect across the business, and confidently use modern office systems (Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
