A growing precision engineering company based in Birmingham is investing heavily in modern machinery and long-term improvements. They're now looking to add a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support production across multiple sites and help drive reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

• Reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance to reduce downtime
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and TPM activities
• Fault finding and implementing long-term fixes
• Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and refurbishments
• Working with the Maintenance Manager on risk assessments and asset planning
• Ensuring all work meets UK Health & Safety standards
• Updating maintenance activity using a CMMS system
• Checking contractor RAMS, permits to work, and on-site compliance

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of TPM principles and CMMS systems
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals
• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)
• Proactive attitude with good communication skills
