The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow our UK business. This is a senior, commercially focused role suited to someone who understands industrial software, engineering-led sales, and long-term customer relationships.
You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing key accounts, and working closely with our technical team to shape compelling solutions for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across UK manufacturing and engineering sectors
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline for software, services, and digital transformation projects
- Engage with senior stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Digital, IT, and Leadership teams)
- Work closely with Kaizen PLM’s technical consultants to shape solutions and proposals
- Lead sales conversations from initial discovery through to close
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key customers
- Represent Kaizen PLM at industry events, customer meetings, and partner engagements
- Collaborate with Siemens and other technology partners where relevant
- Provide feedback to leadership on market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in B2B business development or technical sales
, ideally within: - Industrial software
- PLM / CAD / CAM / Simulation
- Manufacturing automation or digital transformation
- Strong understanding of engineering-led sales cycles
- Comfortable selling high-value, consultative solutions
, not just licenses - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, commercially driven, and able to work autonomously
- Experience working with manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, energy, or similar sectors is highly desirable
Nice to Have
- Experience with Siemens software (NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix, Opcenter, etc.)
- Background in engineering or manufacturing
- Experience selling services, consulting, or project-based work
