On behalf of a respected and fast-growing transport consultancy we are excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a newly established office in Birmingham.

Our client is a leading name in the sector with a proven track record delivering integrated Transport Planning and Highways Design services to both public and private sector clients across the UK. With established teams in Gateshead and Fleet the opening of their Birmingham office represents a strategic expansion aimed at strengthening national service delivery particularly for major commercial development projects.

• Preparing Transport Assessments Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Coordinating and delivering Travel Plan implementation
• Undertaking junction capacity assessments using software such as ARCADY PICADY and LINSIG
• Producing and presenting technical data drawings and reports
• Liaising with clients contractors and local / national authorities
• Managing project timelines and budgets
• Reviewing and checking work produced by junior team members
• Supporting junior staff with technical development
• Assisting with site appraisals surveys and feasibility studies
• Maintaining accurate project documentation
• Supporting the growth and establishment of the Birmingham office

• Degree in Transport Planning Geography Civil Engineering or similar
• 25 years experience in UK Transport Planning
• Membership with CIHT (MCIHT preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD (desirable)
• Proficient in ARCADY PICADY and LINSIG
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
