We’re looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to deliver hands-on technical support, maintenance, and optimisation of automated warehouse systems. You’ll work with complex electrical, mechanical, and control technologies to ensure operational excellence across customer sites.
What You’ll Do:- Maintain, fault-find, and optimise automated systems (electrical, mechanical & controls)
- Provide software support and emergency response when needed
- Support system ramp-ups and continuous improvement
- Work closely with customers and senior stakeholders
- Analyse system data and service reports to proactively reduce downtime
- 5+ years’ experience in automation / industrial maintenance / commissioning (UK)
- Strong electrical bias; automation, robotics, or electronics background
- Siemens Step7 / TIA Portal experience
- Comfortable working independently and on the road
- Confident communicator able to represent engineering solutions on customer sites
