A dynamic and rapidly growing building services consultancy is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their Birmingham office. This role is ideal for engineers with 2–5 years' experience eager to develop their skills and contribute to a wide range of projects across education, commercial, healthcare, and residential sectors. You'll work alongside a supportive team of electrical and mechanical engineers, gaining exposure to all project stages–from concept design through to installation and commissioning.

• Assist in the design and development of electrical building services including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data/communications, and security systems
• Produce calculations, technical drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other disciplines to deliver fully coordinated MEP solutions
• Support site visits and surveys, preparing technical reports
• Ensure designs comply with UK regulations, CIBSE standards, and client requirements
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and project coordination activities
• Develop knowledge of sustainable design principles and low carbon technologies

• Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
• 2–5 years' experience in electrical building services design, preferably within a consultancy environment
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux)
• Strong understanding of BS7671, CIBSE guides, and relevant UK building regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
