Assistant Land Consultant – WSP

We are looking for an Assistant Land Consultant to join our team  role involves supervising small land referencing teams, conducting site visits across the UK, maintaining the land ownership database, and supporting land access, stakeholder engagement and consent processes for infrastructure projects.

• Supervise land referencing teams in identifying landowners, occupiers and other parties with legal interest in land through research and interpretation of HMLR titles and registers.
• Travel on site door-to-door across the UK, supervising your team to complete missing land ownership information.
• Support teams in land access, landowner engagement, stakeholder engagement and project delivery through the consenting stages.
• Conduct desktop research, site visits and interpret title information while managing data in databases and GIS platforms.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory documentation and support multi‑disciplinary teams in managing land and stakeholder risk for infrastructure projects.
• Prefer experience with land projects in the water industry.

• Degree in geography or another relevant discipline with an understanding of UK land‑use and landownership.
• Experience working with databases and managing information with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with mapping software and GIS knowledge.
• Experience of landowner engagement or working with members of the public.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, building relationships with colleagues and landowners.
• Experience using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Full driving licence to travel to sites and client offices.
